The Project Manager has responsibility for managing all aspects of capital projects of the Boucherville site, including scope development, obtaining competitive bids and writing Capital Appropriation Requests. Project area include facilities, utilities and manufacturing/packaging equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop User Requirement Specifications (URS), and conduct project risk assessments that include constructability, hazard analysis and design/GMP reviews;
  • Coordinate design and functional specifications (FRS) to ensure equipment aligns with system owner requirements;
  • Manage acceptance tests (FAT), installation, start-up, commissioning, initial operation and successful hand over to production. 
  • Develop project timetables and cost controls to ensure successful project implementation;
  • Follow all project management guidelines that are used internally by the organization. 
  • Support qualification/validation efforts and ensure necessary support to complete validation activities according to schedule. 
  • Engage and work with equipment vendors, engineering firms and construction managements firms to ensure correct equipment, designs and technologies are selected. 
  • Evaluate the impact of the notices of change, from the point of view of engineering, in terms of the proposed changes to equipment, systems and sites.

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering or equivalent;
  • Three to five years' experience in highly automated manufacturing;
  • Good knowledge of GMPs and FDA standards;
  • Good knowledge of the Autocad and MS Project systems;
  • Good knowledge of clean utilities & HVAC;
  • Excellent team player with good interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Excellent ability to drive change;
  • Innovative, autonomous, analytical.
  • Very good French and English communication skills (spoken and written);
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong presenting skills in small and large groups at different hierarchical levels;
  • Good interpersonal skills; team player.
