Héma-Québec meets the needs of the Quebec population in terms of quality blood and other biological products of human origin such as stable products, stem cells, human tissues and breast milk. Framed by the Héma-Québec Act and the Biovigilance Committee, Héma-Québec's activity is made possible thanks to the thousands of volunteers who get involved as organizers of collections, telerecrutors or donors.
Héma-Québec employs almost 1400 employees in its various provincial structures: two institutions, a regional mobile collection service, four blood donor centers, four plasma donor salons and three mobile blood sampling units across the province. The salaried staff is involved in its various business sectors: operations, quality and regulatory affairs, administration and finance, human resources, medical affairs, research and development, information technology, corporate affairs.
