The Opportunity

This position is field-based in Ontario in our Toxicology Rapid and Molecular Diagnostics division.

Abbott Toxicology is part of Abbott’s Rapid and Molecular Diagnostics family of businesses, bringing together exceptional teams of experts and industry leading technologies to support testing for the management of employees across a diverse range of roles and industries. The safety and wellbeing of both internal and external stakeholders is a key focus in the delivery of their business.

This role will be working predominantly with acquisition accounts to unlock the country’s full sale potential, as well as base business of existing customer accounts to increase revenue by recognising upselling opportunities, whilst fostering long lasting relationships. This role is also responsible for managing and reinforce contract compliance within distributors. It is important that all sales activities are documented in the Company’s CRM system and to collaborate with all employees as necessary to deliver an outstanding customer experience.

What You’ll Do

  • Be an effective negotiator, seeking the best value solution.
  • Build strong relationships with customers to foster a long-term working relationship with Abbott.
  • Seek to secure contracts for as long term as possible at the most favourable pricing available.
  • Must be able to balance effectively and manage a wide range and number of accounts.
  • To develop processes, systems and reports to engage, improve and contribute to work processes.
  • Work closely with an external partner and within the customer experience team, including both other Ambassadors and our team of product/service Trainers.
  • Constructively analyse and present customer data to a high standard.
  • Business Reviews should be conducted periodically in agreement with customers.
  • You should be familiar with operational and training practices for key products.
  • Build relationships with people in other departments to work together resolving customer issues and finding solutions that grow or secure or business.
  • Work with Implementation Managers to ensure the optimal adoption of Abbott products and services.
  • Train and support customers on the use of key service-delivery solutions, eg. eScreen.

Required Qualifications

  • Completed Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Collaborative and team driven and foster a positive working environment.
  • Customer and quality focused.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Understand customer requirements and determine up-selling opportunities.
