We are currently searching for a driven professional to join our Operations & Engineering Team in the position of Process Lead, Engineering. In this role, you will report to the Director, Operations - Ridge & Operational Excellence and you will play a pivotal role in identifying, planning, and executing continuous improvement projects aimed at delivering cost savings, enhancing quality, and driving operational efficiency within our manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for conducting process optimization work in collaboration with the Coordinator of Operational Excellence and the broader Operational Excellence team. Your primary focus will be on analyzing existing processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and implementing solutions to achieve operational excellence.

As a Process Lead, Engineering you will..

Continuous Improvement Projects

  • Identify and prioritize areas for process improvement through data analysis, performance metrics, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Develop and execute continuous improvement projects aimed at optimizing processes, reducing costs, and enhancing overall operational efficiency.
  • Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to drive process improvements and achieve measurable outcomes.

Process Optimization and Analysis

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of manufacturing processes, identifying inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for enhancement.
  • Collaborate with the Operational Excellence team to implement process optimization strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.
  • Use statistical analysis and process mapping techniques to identify root causes and develop solutions for process-related issues.

Collaborative Initiatives

  • Work closely with the Coordinator of Operational Excellence and cross-functional teams to support initiatives aimed at achieving operational goals.
  • Engage in brainstorming sessions and workshops to generate innovative ideas for process enhancements and problem-solving.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Document process improvements, methodologies, and outcomes for future reference and knowledge sharing.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations highlighting project progress, key findings, and recommendations for stakeholders.

Training and Support

  • Provide training and support to operational teams on new processes, technologies, or methodologies implemented to ensure successful adoption and sustained improvement.

Root Cause Analysis and Solutions Implementation

  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify underlying issues affecting process efficiency and quality, implementing corrective actions to address these issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of improvement solutions and monitor their effectiveness.

Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Gather, analyze, and interpret data from various sources to drive informed decisions regarding process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure process performance and identify opportunities for enhancement.

Quality Assurance and Compliance

  • Work closely with quality assurance teams to ensure that process improvements align with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate on implementing quality control measures and maintaining compliance throughout process optimization initiatives.

Project Management and Coordination

  • Lead or participate in cross-functional project teams, managing project timelines, resources, and budgets effectively.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure seamless execution of improvement projects.

It would be great if you have…

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or certifications in Lean/Six Sigma are advantageous.
  • 5+ years of experience in process engineering or continuous improvement roles within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and process optimization techniques.
  • Proficient in data analysis tools and software (e.g, MiniTab, Excel) for statistical analysis and visualization (e.g. PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Experience using process improvement methodologies such as DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) or PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing principles, including process flow, value stream mapping, and waste reduction techniques.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive change across multifunctional teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across diverse teams and levels within the organization.
  • Previous exposure to regulatory compliance and quality management systems within the manufacturing industry.
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt) or similar credentials is highly desirable.
