Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc... allowed, Loud Noises (Equipment/Machinery), Office, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), Strong Odors (chemical, lubricants, biological products etc.)

Job Description

Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday: 6 AM - 2:30 PM

Flexibility to work Overtime, Saturday shifts and 2 PM to 10:30pm if necessary

What will you do:

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Work and report directly with other team leaders and operations manager to ensure successful manufacturing operations
  • Lead/assist in Non-Conformance Investigations and follow up on the implementation of solutions
  • Lead/Assist on troubleshooting and problem solving as directed
  • Manage daily production schedules by following up and providing feedback and updates on daily scheduled activities to operators
  • Engage and encourage good working relationships with peers in production and all other departments
  • Maintain and improve operational safety, efficiencies, product quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide employees with the tools necessary to work safely and efficiently while encouraging positive employee motivation and job satisfaction.
  • Perform other duties as required
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to and that personnel are compliant
  • Lead root cause and counter measure investigations and improvement opportunities
  • Initiate, track, Monitor, analyze and report production performance indicators for the purpose of controlling and reducing waste/scrap and improving efficiency
  • Lead and organize production flow to ensure production schedules and targets are met
  • Operate production equipment on the floor during lunch coverages and/or absences as needed.

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Act as a leader and role-model at all times
  • Work closely with team to identify issues, resource needs and improvement opportunities.
  • Participate/Lead Continuous improvement events and problem solving through our PPI-5 culture
  • Monitor, track and provide constructive feedback on employee performance through the PMD process and recommend necessary adjustments
  • Provide coaching and corrective actions when needed
  • Continuously monitor work area to maintain safe conditions and take immediate action to correct unsafe activities
  • Schedule and lead the interviewing and candidate selection process
  • Evaluate team performance to determine annual bonuses and increases
  • Manage employee time and attendance and submit timesheets to payroll if required
  • Lead daily Tier I and/or II meetings when necessary
  • Be willing to work additional overtime and Saturday shifts as needed.

How will you get here:

  • 2 years of Manufacturing/Operations experience at a leadership level
  • Minimum High School Diploma
  • College or Science degree in a related field preferred
  • Be able to work 6am to 2:30pm weekly and 2pm to 10:30pm if necessary
  • Demonstrate experience in LEAN manufacturing
  • Lead with composure and strive to always be calm and deal with arising situations in a calm and strategic manner
  • Have good communication skills and proven interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of ISO13485 and MDSAP preferred
  • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook. Workday preferred
