Regional Sales Manager-Ontario and Atlantic

Vetoquinol is a pharmaceutical company dedicated to the manufacturing, distribution and marketing of animal health products, we are looking for a Regional Sales Manager for our production animal division for the Ontario and Atlantic Provinces area.

Your main mission is to maintain and increase division sales and profits as part of corporate policies and objectives while managing regional sales staff, key accounts and distributors.



  • Participate in the development of the strategic plan and ensure its proper implementation in order to maximize the volume and profitability of sales in accordance with the policies, objectives and quality standards of the company.
  • Develop a sales plan for the region under his responsibility. The plan must be consistent and aligned with other business planning elements (strategic plan and marketing).

Human Resource Management

Manages the managers of the territory on the following elements:

  • Establishes the objectives of each territory and ensures the application of the annual evaluation process.
  • Analyzes the results according to the established objectives and brings the corrections if necessary.
  • Analyzes the quantity, direction and quality of its activities (Performance Indicators) and makes corrections if necessary.
  • Develops, communicates and implements individual skills development plans.
  • Manages human resources with respect to recruitment, training, labor relations, etc.
  • Actively participate in the development of training materials and the training of the sales team.
  • Maximizes the dynamics and motivation of his team

Market Relationship Management

  • Manages relationships with key accounts and / or distributors in order to: maximize the volume and profitability of business with these accounts, identify and evaluate new business opportunities and maximize business consistency with key accounts in its territory.
  • Develop and maintain networking with the various key players in the industry.

Profitability Management

  • Manages the commercial offer in order to maximize sales volume and profitability while adapting to local market needs, in accordance with the Company's policies, objectives and quality standards.
  • Ensures the control of the expenses of his region.

Analysis and communication

  • Analyzes and provides relevant commercial information (competition activities, market conditions, sales force activities, activity report, etc.) to relevant sales and marketing personnel.

Interaction in the department

  • Collaborates closely with the marketing and technical services departments in his department to ensure a good design and implementation of strategies and tactics (short, medium and long term) for achieving departmental objectives
  • Cooperates with support functions and corporate group functions.



  • University degree in animal health science(agronomy, biology, animal science) or administration or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of Windows environment and other specific systems such as a CRM
  • Territory management experience(minimum of 3 years)
  • Experience in the animal health industry and in people management
