Role and responsibilities:

The incumbent will work under the supervsion of the Director, Technical services, and his/her functions will include the following:

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Work with operators and managers to optimize processes and performance:
    • Identify opportunities to increase production efficiency
    • Recommend improvements and identify optimal "win-win" solutions to meet the organization's expectations
    • Participate in the implementation of improvements
    • Measure effectiveness
  • Participate in the technical transfer of processes and train operators on new procedures/processes
  • Act as a resource person for the various departments in investigation processes:
    • Prepare and follow up on investigation reports
    • Prepare and monitor operational deviations, execute assigned corrective actions and preventive actions (ACAP / CAPA), identify corrective measures and participate in their implementation
    • Implement performance indicators and visibility tools (dashboard)
  • Act as a resource person for planning activities between different departments (validation, process development, etc.)
  • Participate in the development of new formulations
  • Participate in the review and creation of procedures
  • Participate in the review and creation of manufacturing files
  • Establish and analyse annual trends in manufacturing and packaging processes;
  • Coordinate or perform, as required, sampling and/or validation tests at critical steps and investigate deviations
  • Participate in various projects

  • Bachelor of Science or Engineering or equivalent training
  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in tablet compression and coating and validation
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing equipment
  • Excellent knowledge of GMP and technical knowledge of pharmaceutical processes
  • Spoken and written bilingualism is essential
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
