Maintenance Supervisor, Pharmaceuticals

  • Responsible for the equipment maintenance team, including coordination of tasks and adherence to the periodic maintenance schedule.

  • Supervise the validation team.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the equipment maintenance program, including calibrations.

  • Monitor performance indicators related to equipment compliance activities (maintenance, calibrations).

  • Actively participate in problem solving with employees, making fair and equitable decisions related to productivity, costs, quality and commitment.

  • Manage service providers.

  • Actively participate in the Health and Safety Committee.

  • Provide ideas and solutions to improve efficiency and safety.

  • Manage employee performance and development.

  • Monitor, track and report monthly operating expense variances for department and projects.

Skills and experience required:

  • Technical diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering from a Canadian university.

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a highly regulated manufacturing sector, with a minimum of two (2) years in a similar position in the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Good experience with Canadian (Health Canada) and American (FDA) Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

  • Management skills with proven ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Proven customer relations skills

  • Ability to lead people and encourage team participation

  • Strong team player and motivated problem solver

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and presentation skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Good computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook)

  • Bilingual (French and English). Fluency in English is essential.
