Job Summary

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Laboratory Analyst to join our team! This position will report to the QA Manager and be involved in data review, self-inspection and other QA tasks pertaining to QA function.

Work in a fast paced environment while requiring minimal guidance and having a detail-oriented disposition.  The QA Laboratory Analyst reports to the QA Manager and will be involved in all aspects of the job function.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all quality control procedures and documentation are in compliance and up to date with the current Good Manufacturing Practices guidelines (cGMPs).
  • Review quality assurance standards, study existing policies and procedures, and evaluate effectiveness of quality assurance system.
  • Assist in investigating out of specification results and non-conformances and implementing of corrective actions.
  • Perform self-audit and ensure laboratory activities are in compliance with cGMPs,
  • Review testing records for accuracy, completeness and compliance and participate in issuing certificates of analysis.
  • Provide training to analysts.
  • Bring up to attention of QA Manager the issues observed in the lab,
  • Perform other tasks pertaining to the QA function.

Academic/Educational Requirements:

  • B.Sc. in chemistry and/or related scientific disciplines +5 years of experience in QA, or DEC degree in Science +10 years of experience in QA.

Experience:

  • Strong knowledge in Analytical Chemistry, primary knowledge in Microbiology is a plus.
  • Knowledge and understanding of quality assurance principles.
  • Working experience in Quality Assurance, experience in Quality control is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of cGMPs and pharmacopeia (i.e., USP Pharmacopeia).
  • Experience working in a cGMP environment.

Required Skills:

  • Fluently bilingual, French and English, oral and written.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and within the organization.
  • Efficiency in executing tasks with accuracy and in a timely manner as well as recognizing priorities.
  • Must be organized, a multi-tasker and take initiative.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Good knowledge of statistical software, Microsoft Office and Outlook programs.
  • Laboratory problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time.
