ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Biomedical Equipment Supervisor, you are responsible for the equipment maintenance and calibration schedule for the Biomedical Equipment Department. You also collaborate on validation projects.

Specifically, you:

  • Calibrate equipment;
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on biomedical equipment;
  • Ensure the proper operation and safe use of the equipment under your responsibility;
  • Provide technical expertise to the organization's managers and service personnel;
  • Participate in the acquisition and evaluation of equipment as well as their obsolescence;
  • Assist in the development of service contract specifications with external suppliers;
  • Provide support to the Technical Services team as part of automated building management (BAS);
  • Perform any other associated tasks.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A college diploma in electronics technology or equivalent;
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the area of laboratory equipment;
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical sector where good manufacturing practices are rigorously applied would be considered an asset;
  • Being a member of the Association des technologues en génie biomédical would be considered an asset;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word and Outlook);
  • An understanding of SAP PM would be considered an asset;
  • Fluent in French, both oral and written.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Excellent teamwork, communication and customer service skills;
  • Thorough, independent and responsible;
  • Functional knowledge of English would be considered an asset.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Travel is to be expected, at least once per month;
  • Monitoring work is to be expected, one weekend per month.
