Human tissues donation coordinator (Auxiliary Technologist - HT)

Reporting to the Customer Service Supervisor, Human Tissue, you will be receiving calls from our clients from two distinct sectors: the potential tissue donor's reference and the service to users.

When dealing with a potential tissue donor's reference, you will:

  • Manage calls from hospitals;
  • Evaluate potential tissue donor's eligibility;
  • Perform donor selection through a questionnaire on medical and social history, and according to the information provided by health professionals;
  • Ensure appropriate follow-up with grieving families;
  • Ensure that the collection team takes care of the donor;
  • Perform all other related tasks.

In addition, for service to human tissue users, you will:

  • Manage calls from different customers in Canada;
  • Plan and organize the needs of different eye surgeons;
  • Ensure compliance with orders and delivery times for human tissues;
  • erform different follow-ups of user-specific requests.


  • Degree (DEP or DEC) in a health-related field is an important asset. A diploma in another specialization combined with relevant experience may be considered;
  • One to three years of relevant job-related experience;
  • Experience with grieving families is an asset;
  • Functional English language.

Work schedule (as a guideline only): Mainly fixed schedule (1 p.m. to 10:45 p.m. and one weekend out of two) and flexible schedule as required.
