Job Description

UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF THE DIRECTOR OF PHARMACY, THE STAFF PHARMACIST PROMOTES CLIENT FOCUSED CARE AND PATIENT SAFETY THROUGH THE PROVISION OF: DIRECT PATIENT CARE SERVICES, DRUG USE MANAGEMENT, DRUG DISTRIBUTION MANAGEMENT, EDUCATION AND DRUG INFORMATION SERVICES. APPLICANTS MUST HAVE STRONG INTERPERSONAL SKILLS AS WELL AS EXCELLENT WRITTEN AND VERBAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS.

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy
  • Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan College of Pharmacists

Experience
PREVIOUS HOSPITAL EXPERIENCE IS AN ASSET ACCREDITED HOSPITAL PHARMACY RESIDENCY PROGRAM PREFERRED
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to competently use computers and software applications as required by the position
  • Presentation skills
  • Time management skills
  • Expertise in practicing pharmaceutical care
  • Proficiency with pharmaceutical information program
  • Familiar with drug information software
