Your Opportunity: As the permanent Site Lead Pharmacist of the Two Hills Health Centre Pharmacy Team, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality direct patient care. Our pharmacists work in a multidisciplinary environment, where they have the opportunity to provide specialized and general medicine care to patients. In drug distribution, our pharmacists work with registered technicians and pharmacy assistants that utilize their full scope of practice to allow the pharmacist to focus on clinical order assessment. The pharmacy department strongly supports professional development and provides educational opportunities and support to facilitate pharmacist growth. Description: As a Pharmacist I, you will be responsible for the safe, effective and efficient preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical services. You will manage medication therapy for patients, both initially and on an ongoing basis. In addition, you will provide assessment, intervention and resolution of potential or actual drug-related problems and oversee activities related to compounding and packaging. Classification: Pharmacist I Union: HSAA Facility PROF/TECH Unit and Program: Pharmacy Primary Location: Two Hills Health Centre Location Details: As Per Location Multi-Site: Not Applicable FTE: 0.80 Posting End Date: 13-OCT-2026 Employee Class: Regular Part Time Date Available: 02-NOV-2026 Hours per Shift: 6.20 Length of Shift in weeks: 2 Shifts per cycle: 10 Shift Pattern: Days Days Off: Saturday/Sunday Minimum Salary: $59.76 Maximum Salary: $68.71 Vehicle Requirement: Not Applicable Required Qualifications: Completion of Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. Current, provisional or transferable registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP) as a Pharmacist. Additional Required Qualifications: Additional Prescribing Authorization (APA) from the Alberta College of Pharmacist would be an asset for this position. Successful candidates not having APA will be expected to obtain it within 6 months of commencing in this position, dependent on eligibility. Pharmacy related experience in a hospital setting or in direct patient care providing comprehensive medication management services. Recent experience as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team. Experience with computerized medication order entry, and different drug distribution systems such as unit dose. Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated self-directed learning and continuing education. Demonstrated good time management including ability to switch priorities and multitask. Demonstrated excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, good organizational and problem-solving skills. Good time management including ability to switch priorities & multitask. Self-motivated; able to work both independently and cooperatively in a team environment. Rural hospital experience an asset.

Requirements

A Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and current, provisional, or transferable registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy are required. Candidates need hospital pharmacy or direct patient-care experience, recent multidisciplinary team experience, and familiarity with computerized medication order entry and drug distribution systems; Additional Prescribing Authorization is an asset and is expected within six months if eligible.
