You will coordinate & perform medication distribution activities including inventory management. Responsibilities include checking & dispensing patient‑specific medication orders prepared by Pharmacy Assistants & other Pharmacy Technicians. You may also prepare, check, & dispense compounds & repackaged medications, support procurement & inventory control, & complete best possible medication histories with patients. Mentoring Pharmacy Assistants & Technicians, training new staff, & precepting students are key aspects of the role, along with collaboration with pharmacists & interdisciplinary teams. You will uphold NAPRA & ACP standards, oversee delegated tasks, contribute to operational activities, & improvement initiatives. Strong verbal & written English communication skills are essential, along with professionalism, accountability, & attention to detail. The ideal candidate excels in a fast‑paced environment, demonstrates reliability, critical thinking, & adaptability, & is committed to confidentiality, accuracy, & effective teamwork. Candidates must be able to work independently & collaboratively, follow instructions, & adapt to changing workflows & technologies. Physical requirements include visual acuity, keyboarding, lifting, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, kneeling, extended standing, & walking. This role also involves handling hazardous medications using appropriate PPE. Coronation is the main location with the opportunity to train to cover nearby sites including: Stettler, Hanna. Description: As a Pharmacy Technician I, you will be responsible for the preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical products. You will receive and triage medication orders, compound and repackage medication and prepare sterile and non-sterile pharmaceutical products. Current, provisional, or transferable registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP) as a Pharmacy Technician. Additional Required Qualifications: To ensure your skills and qualifications are considered, please attach a resume and cover letter with your application. Physical demands of the role include regular lifting of up to 30 lbs. and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs., as well as frequent pushing and pulling, and standing or sitting for extended periods. Membership in a Pharmacy Technician association (e.g., PTSA/CAPT/CSHP) is preferred. Preferred Qualifications: Applicants should have recent experience—a min of 1 yr in the past 2 yrs—as a technician in a hospital setting, incl. sterile & nonsterile compounding, inventory procurement & completing Best Possible Medication Histories. Experience with Willow Pharmacy (Connect Care), Oracle, Pyxis or Omnicell system & automated packaging equipment. Preference if interested in covering multiple rural sites nearby.

Requirements
Requires completion of a CCAPP-accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program and registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy. Preferred candidates have at least one year of recent hospital experience and familiarity with Willow Pharmacy, Oracle, or Pyxis systems.
