Job summary
Introduction We are partnering with a specialty healthcare organization providing compounding, infusion therapy, and pharmacy services in a highly regulated, quality-driven environment. This Calgary-based site supports complex medication preparation and distribution while working collaboratively with pharmacists and clinical teams to ensure patient safety and product quality. Under the supervision of the Cleanroom Supervisor and under the direction of the Pharmacy Manager and Pharmacists, the Provisional Pharmacy Technician is responsible for the aseptic preparation of sterile drug admixtures within the cleanroom. This role also supports order entry, label verification, production staging, decontamination and cleaning activities, labelling, and final packaging checks. Additional duties may be assigned based on operational requirements. Responsibilities Prepare sterile drug admixtures in accordance with approved work instructions and aseptic technique standards Adhere to corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and quality management systems (QSI) Support inventory management, production staging, quality assurance monitoring, and product labelling Perform syringe checks, packaging, final verification steps, and cleaning procedures Maintain high product quality while working with minimal direct supervision Demonstrate sound judgment, integrity, and attention to detail in all activities Collaborate effectively with pharmacists and internal departments to support workflow and service delivery Participate in required training, including health and safety training via the Learning Management System Comply with the Company Code of Conduct and all workplace health and safety requirements Perform other duties as assigned Requirements Pharmacy Diploma from an Alberta College of Pharmacy accredited institution Provisional pharmacy technician with the Alberta College of Pharmacy Actively getting licensure as a Registered Pharmacy Technician with the Alberta College of Pharmacy Previous IV or sterile compounding experience is considered an asset Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities High attention to detail and commitment to quality and patient safety Strong verbal and written communication skills Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a regulated environment Proficient with computer systems and Microsoft Office What We Offer Why apply through Brunel? Requirements
