Location New Westminster Campus Salary Range $29.53 per hour (with wage increments to a max of $32.97 per hour). Salary and wage increments are in accordance with the Collective Agreement. What It Takes Excellent working knowledge of preventative measures required for the safe operation of a chemistry laboratory, its supplies and equipment including WHMIS . To have working knowledge of the operation and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment and operation. Good working knowledge of the English language (written and verbal). A demonstrated ability to: maintain current knowledge in the field of chemistry. effectively demonstrate proper laboratory techniques. communicate courteously and effectively in person, in writing, and over the telephone with students, faculty, administrators, staff and the public. work independently with a minimum direct supervision as well as establish priorities and achieve deadlines. Additional Information For the Full Job Description, click here . This temporary part-time (14 hours per week) position is available starting Sept 1, 2026 to Nov 27, 2026. Regular hours of work fall between 8 am and 6 pm, Monday to Friday, with actual schedules varying within this window. Shift days and times may change depending on the Department’s need. Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required. The position is located at the New Westminster campus; however, the successful candidate must be available for occasional work at the Coquitlam campus.
