The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist implements and plans medication safety systems while developing policies to improve clinical processes and medication efficacy. They also provide clinical direction on complex cases, conduct educational sessions, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient safety. Candidates must be registered as a Pharmacist with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia and hold a post-graduate Doctor of Pharmacy degree. Completion of an accredited two-year Hospital Pharmacy Residency Program and at least two years of relevant hospital pharmacy experience are required.
