The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist provides expert pharmaceutical care, clinical direction on complex cases, and consultation services to health care professionals within the Emergency Department. They also lead clinical research initiatives, develop drug therapy guidelines, and provide academic teaching to students and staff. Candidates must be registered as a Pharmacist with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia and hold a post-graduate Doctor of Pharmacy degree. Completion of an accredited Hospital Pharmacy Residency Program and at least one year of experience in the designated specialty area are required.
