POSITION SUMMARY The Program Associate serves as a provincial resource to the Centre’s partners and stakeholders on the implementation and evaluation of evidence-informed practices. The Program Associate has education and training in the field of child and youth with severe obesity evaluation and research, and knowledge exchange. The Program Associate also supports internal research and evaluation activities, serving as a staff consultant on Centre projects. POSITION DESCRIPTION Facilitate and provide technical support to Centre stakeholders on implementing and evaluating evidence-informed practices and programs Prepare reports and environmental scans on current evidence in the field of child and youth with Severe Obesity . Assist service providers, agencies or communities in adapting current evidence into their practice, through coaching, support, training and linking with other partners Assist service providers, agencies or communities in building capacity for evaluating evidence-informed programs Participate in training grant recipients and Centre stakeholders through webinars, workshops and community presentations Participate in the development of tools and resources on implementing and evaluating evidence-informed practices Provide information, advice and support to potential grant applicants, applicants, grant recipients, peer reviewers and other Centre stakeholders on grant eligibility, requirements and deliverables Establish and maintain relationships and networks among various stakeholders Participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of Centre projects, as appropriate Coordinate with other Centre teams and working groups on assigned projects Support the grants and awards program as required (e.g., proposal reviews, final outcomes report reviews, questionnaire development and analysis for internal program) Support the Centre’s research projects and internal evaluation activities Participate in conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses of the Centre’s internal evaluation activities and performance indicators Support the development of the Centre’s databases and resources on research and evaluation Create and maintain research and data files Assist in the preparation of publications, posters and presentations Attend general staff meetings and participate in project teams as assigned Represent the Centre at external meetings or community presentations Perform other related duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS Police Record Check (PRC) (Essential) Masters degree in a social science field and/or equivalent of education and experience (Essential) A minimum of two (2) years experience with child and youth (Preferred) Experience in program evaluation and measurement (Essential) Demonstrated knowledge of research and evaluation methods (Essential) Experience working with community-based agencies, and skills in team building and facilitation (Essential) Experience building and maintaining relationships with multiple stakeholders (Preferred) Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment (Essential) Demonstrated ability to show initiative and problem-solving (Essential) Communicate effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing (Essential) Proven project and time management skills (Essential) Experience with computer software and technology (e.g., MS Office, SPSS) (Essential) Bilingualism (English/French) (Essential) Timeline may be extended or shortened based on operational needs * Please note you will be represented by the Laborers International Union of North America (LiUNA).
