We are looking for a Structural Analyst to join our satellite systems team at our Montreal office.
As the world’s leading independent commercial supplier of antennas, payloads, and electronics for communications satellites and radar systems, our team has successfully contributed to hundreds of missions over the past 60 years. Role:
As part of a concurrent engineering team, the structural analyst will develop the structural design of space antennas and electronic equipment. The structural analyst performs static, dynamic, and thermoelastic analyses using standard analysis techniques, Nx/Nastran, and other commercial or in-house software.
Responsibilities:
He or she will size components, identify problem areas, suggest modifications, or guide the design as necessary.
He or she will calculate safety margins and document the analyses.
He or she may also be called upon to develop test procedures, conduct tests, and write test reports to demonstrate the validity of the design.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- 8 to 10 years of direct experience in structural dynamics (modal, sinusoidal, random) as well as in static and thermoelastic analyses using NASTRAN FEA software, preferably in an NX environment.
- Good communication skills.
Desirable Skills:
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to identify key issues in a design and prioritize them accordingly.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Experience with fatigue and impact analysis
- Knowledge of composites
- Experience with acoustic analysis.
- Experience with structural testing (vibration testing, modal testing, etc.)
- Bilingualism (interacting with clients outside Quebec and drafting deliverables in English)
- Experience in the space industry and an understanding of RF requirements are a plus.

Selected candidates must obtain and maintain a security clearance at the reliability level and pass the security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
