Medi-Center Pharmacy is looking for a full-time Pharmacy Assistant to join our team in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Patient Focused Care Responsibilities: Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care Greet customers and answer phone calls in a professional manner Assist with entering, labelling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician Accurately count, measure, and package medications according to established protocols Receive and stock medication and supply shipments, monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and support inventory audits Keep the pharmacy area clean and organized; safely dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste in accordance with regulations Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and assist with insurance claims and prescription transfers Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in a retail pharmacy setting. Highly skilled in the use of Kroll, with strong accuracy and efficiency in prescription data entry. Demonstrates a solid understanding of Pharmacare/insurance billing processes and clinical services flagging. Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is an asset. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to thrive in a team environment Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to stand for long periods and occasional lifting of boxes/containers Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Schedule: 40 hours per week. The store operates Monday to Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday to Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Shifts will be scheduled within these hours, and availability on both weekdays and weekends is required.
