Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated biologist with expertise in cancer cell biology and biotherapeutic drug development to join our team. The successful candidate in this position is expected to participate in all aspects of discovery, lead optimization and pre-clinical development to advance novel biologics from the discovery phase into the clinic. The incumbent will demonstrate their ability to participate in a highly innovative research environment, contributing both intellectually and experimentally to numerous biotherapeutic programs for cancer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize previous expertise to independently design, execute and analyze experiments using biological/immunological assays for innovative biotherapeutics
• Prepare and present program plans, on-going progress reports, technical reports and future plans
• Effectively collaborate with other members of the team, and external collaborators and partners.
• Training and mentoring team members as required
• Approaches work methodically and systematically, establishes priorities from amongst a number of demands
• Demonstrates and applies advanced level of understanding and analytical skills to interpret data and draw conclusions within the project goals
• Contribute to building a culture that embraces courage, collaboration, objectivity, judgement, excellence and reach.
• Other duties as assigned.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in cancer cell biology/ immunology or a related field with 3+ years of experience or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience with biologic/antibody/cell therapy drug discovery and development
• Demonstrated expertise in cancer cell biology and immuno-oncology
• Extensive working knowledge of immunological in vitro functional assays to assess mechanism of action of biologic drugs, including multi-parameter flow cytometry and imaging.
• Demonstrated experience with oncology in vivo models and ex-vivo analysis.
• Experience with novel target validation, including genomic analysis.
• Up to date with current immuno-oncology/immunotherapy/biotherapeutics literature, methodologies, and landscape
• Critical and creative thinker

• Technical proficiency, scientific creativity, independent thought, and ability to effectively collaborate with others with diverse expertise including chemistry, discovery biology, pharmacology, and translational sciences.

• Communicates clearly and confidently and has excellent interpersonal skills
