Job Summary

The ST-Coordinator within the Packaging Technical (Maintenance) Department participates in the development, planning, tracking, and optimizing of preventive maintenance tasks, evaluation of packaging processes, and equipment modifications.

Job Responsibilities

  • Liase with Packaging Technical Supervisors, Project Leaders, Mechanical & Electrical Technicians, Packaging Technicians, Contractors and other internal stakeholders to analyse packaging systems and processes in order to make continuous improvements, while focusing on Safety, Quality and Productivity.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors to execute maintenance engineering project activities.
  • Data-mine equipment history using spreadsheets, databases, and other tools.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Participate in Installation Qualification and Operational Qualifications (IQOQ) for new and existing equipment and processes.
  • Develop and update Standard Operational Procedures (SOP) as required.
  • Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), SOP's, and in full compliance with Safety & Regulatory standards.
  • Work in a safe manner, collaborating as a team member to achieve all outcomes.

  • All other relevant duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a recognized post-secondary co-op education program.
  • Sucessful completion of 2nd or 3rd year in Mechanical, Industrial, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Possesses strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team player, but capable of working independently on any assigned tasks.
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point are essential. Familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Access, and SAP would be beneficial.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements is beneficial.
