Role Description This part-time Pharmacist role is an on-site position located in Olds, AB. The Pharmacist will dispense prescriptions accurately, review medication profiles, and provide counseling on proper use, side effects, and interactions. Daily responsibilities include verifying physician orders, performing clinical assessments, resolving drug-therapy issues, and maintaining accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory and company standards. The Pharmacist will collaborate with the pharmacy team to manage workflow, support inventory control, and ensure safe handling and storage of medications. The role also involves delivering accessible, patient-centered service, contributing to health promotion initiatives, and upholding all legal, ethical, and professional requirements. Qualifications Professional pharmacy qualifications, including a Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD and eligibility for licensure as a Pharmacist with the Alberta College of Pharmacy. Strong clinical knowledge in pharmacotherapy, prescription assessment, drug utilization review, and patient counseling. Proficiency with pharmacy dispensing systems, prescription processing, and accurate documentation and record-keeping. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, prescribers, and colleagues in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to patient safety, attention to detail, and adherence to regulatory, ethical, and company standards. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based setting, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing priorities. Experience in a community pharmacy or retail pharmacy setting is an asset. Availability to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required by a part-time schedule.
