Coordinate research projects involving children born preterm and/or with congenital heart disease, including participant screening, recruitment, study visits, data collection, and database maintenance. Prepare ethics submissions and study documents, support data analysis and reporting, conduct literature searches, and organize meetings and records.

Support the project manager and principal investigator with study operations, including youth advisor engagement, recruitment and enrollment, study materials, interviews, data management, and qualitative analysis. Assist with ethics submissions, knowledge translation, grant and manuscript preparation, and ongoing project coordination.

Process prescriptions and third-party billings, assist patients and families with insurance and medication coverage issues, and perform non-sterile compounding after training. Refer medication and health-related inquiries to a pharmacist, contact doctors, pharmacies, and manufacturers as needed, and comply with pharmacy regulations and safety requirements.

Coordinate clinical research projects focused on improving outcomes for children with type 1 diabetes, including patient recruitment, consent, study visits, specimen handling, and data management. Contribute to the full academic research process, including developing research questions, analyzing data, writing grants and manuscripts, and presenting findings.

The fellow will lead the harmonization and analysis of large longitudinal research datasets to investigate type 1 diabetes and its complications. Key duties include generating scientific hypotheses, publishing first-author manuscripts, and collaborating with multidisciplinary international partners.
